Photo-a-Day Challenge Days 81-90

Another Monday 10 day post! I was pleasantly pleased with this set of days. I think around day 100 I was getting discouraged, but looking back I can see that a lot of photos turned out nicely. Hope you enjoy!

I Trespassed

Shot with Canon Rebel T2i; edited in photoshop/lightroom; Fresno, CA

Railroad tracks with “NO TRESPASSING” printed on the side of the beam. I saw this location weeks before while driving and made a mental note to come back to take a photo when I was lacking inspiration. The whole area was full of graffiti and trash in an empty ditch.

Teach ’em Young

Shot with Canon Rebel T2i; edited in photoshop/lightroom; Kaiser Park, Fresno, CA

Little boy at the skate park, learning how to skate board. This kid was super cute and took a liking to me once he got there. I asked his dad if it was okay to take photos of him, and he obliged. Reminds me that I need to get some business cards so that I don’t freak out people when I pull out my camera. 😀

Pesto in the Making

Shot with Canon Rebel T2i; edited in photoshop/lightroom; Fresno, CA

My husband making pesto in a mortar and pestle. It was so fun to watch him do this and take photos of it! From our homegrown basil to the just shredded parmesan, it was a beautiful process. And that macro lensssss. Love it!

Peony Season

Shot with Canon Rebel T2i; edited in photoshop/lightroom; Fresno, CA

Macro shot of a pink peony with the inside bits peaking through. I love peonies!! They are so beautiful and I wish they lasted longer. My husband says that their name sounds like someone is saying “panties” in a funny way. haha!

Lazy Day

Shot with Canon Rebel T2i; edited in photoshop/lightroom; Fresno, CA

Macro shot of Dria’s face with paw stretched out. It was a lazy day for the both of us. She sleeping, me not having the energy to take some legit photos. So here we are. A lazy day.

Dune

Shot with Canon Rebel T2i; edited in photoshop/lightroom; Sky Harbor Rd., Fresno, CA

The vantage point from Sky Harbor Rd by Table Mountain Casino. Looks like a still from the movie Dune or Star Wars Tatooine. Glad Timmy took my up to this spot to get sunset photos. I’ve been up this road before, but never stopped to look at the views.

Living on the Edge

Shot with Canon Rebel T2i; edited in photoshop/lightroom; Fresno, CA

Macro shot of a bug on a leaf. I was looking for something to shoot, and walked under this huge tree that we have in our yard that grows berries during the early summer months. I had no idea that it was a haven for hundreds of ladybugs and whatever this bug is. It was fun trying to capture this little guy crawling around while I got my feet stained from walking on the fallen berries.

Jury Duty

Shot with Canon Rebel T2i; edited in photoshop/lightroom; Downtown Fresno, CA

Two brick buildings in downtown Fresno. Caught this photo on the top of a parking structure after going to jury duty. I love these old brick buildings and even how rough they look. But I am curious what it would be like if Downtown FresYES did some renovations to these old buildings and made them useable again.

Strike a Pose

Shot with Canon Rebel T2i; edited in photoshop/lightroom; Bebe O’s Vintage Boutique, Fresno, CA

Mannequin striking a pose with a party dress under a disco ball at Bebe O’s Vintage Boutique. Soooo fun taking photos in this funky store! Staff is super nice, and it is full of a ton of clothes and accessories from every decade from 1920 on!

This Chick

Shot with Canon Rebel T2i; edited in photoshop/lightroom; Romain’s Skate Park, Fresno, CA

Aesome female skateboarder showing (and saying) women power at Romain’s Skate Park. This woman was such a gem to meet, and I’m so glad I asked if I could take her photo. I get really nervous about that, but she was so kind with my request. I was nervous so only took a quick couple of shots, and in hindsight think I could have done way better with the lighting, but I’m still happy I caught this moment.
