Another ten day drop of my 365 photo-a-day challenge! I love getting to look back at these photos and remember what was happening that day. It’s just a tiny glimpse into my every day, and it’s cool to look back at the documentation of that.

Dria’s First Birthday
Shot with Canon Rebel T2i; edited in photoshop/lightroom; Fresno, CA
Dria playing with a cat oy – one paw stilled, and another in motion as she is perched on her hind legs. Animal photography is no joke!! I was so excited for this day to come and take good shots of Dria for her birthday. She had other plans! I couldn’t get a good shot to save my life, and the funniest part, is that I have taken many good photos of her in the past! She just didn’t want to cooperate this time. ha!

R&R
Shot with Canon Rebel T2i; edited in photoshop/lightroom; Shaver Lake, CA
Pine tree limb with bokeh effect at Shaver Lake, CA. Decided to get out of the city and go on a mini vacation by myself to the mountains. Needed some quiet and relaxation, and boy did these four days deliver! I love being in the mountains.

Shock and Awe
Shot with Canon Rebel T2i; edited in photoshop/lightroom; Shaver Lake, CA
Burned mountainside of Shaker Lake almost a year after the Creek Fire. This was mind blowing to see. I’ve grown up having summer vacations in these mountains every year of my life, and to see it for the first time after the Creek Fire was heart breaking. The chaos that a fire can do, the destruction…it was just a shock while driving up towards Huntington Lake.

Waterfall of Leaves
Shot with Canon Rebel T2i; edited in photoshop/lightroom; Shaver Lake, CA
Dried leaves cascading down the mountain side between granite boulders covered in moss. I took many photos on my vacay, but this one I particularly liked. I love granite rocks and moss and dried leaves. It came together nicely.

Going Home
Shot with Canon Rebel T2i; edited in photoshop/lightroom; Shaver Lake, CA
The highway home from Shaver Lake showing the burned woods. The four days that I was in the mountains, I heard a consistent noise of chain saws and tree falling. It wasn’t until I drove through this area and saw the workers felling the dead trees that I understood what was happening. Total destruction of this area of the mountains.

Cat Cow
Shot with iPhone 11 Pro; edited in camera app; Fresno, CA
Vega chilling on my yoga mat with neck roller on the side. This was not expected to be my photo of the day, but I ran out of time and it was the only thing I had taken just for funzies. He’s my little earth cat.

Bowl Bettys
Shot with Canon Rebel T2i; edited in photoshop/lightroom; Melody Park, Fresno, CA
@nezskates video taping @mikiskates76 practicing box slides for the first time. I really love these women right here! Our little trio has grown in roller skating and friendship over the past year and a half. I love how encouraging we are to each other and spur each other on to try new things!
